So we have lived with my parents for a year this coming Thanksgiving holiday. I have finally come to a place that I feel real happiness even with all that has and is going on. Our family has been blessed with good things. I am glad and proud to be a stay at home mom. Helping my girls grow is what I want to do right now ,and I don't want to miss it just because life happens.

Kinsley and Aryana had a blast this year. Aryana dressed up a Pegasuses unicorn and Kinsley dressed up as a fairy princess. A neighbor gave away free photos as treats at their house. Here the photos.

Christmas gifts

We had a nice Christmas this last year. I was able to go to toy swap at my parent's ward and that took care of gifts for Christmas and birthdays. For Christmas I wanted to give Aryana this Peter Pan doll and a butterfly fairy doll. When I was helping with gift wrapping on Christmas eve night and I was about to grab the the dolls to wrap this is what I saw. I hope this is funny to you as it was for me.

Leaning tower of Rapunzel

For Aryana's birthday this year I tried to make a Rapunzel tower. My sister helped put it together and we made marshmallow foundant and chocolate cake and yummy buttercream frosting. I just did realize that I didn't have enough support for the cake. And when we put it together it started to fall over. So we used candle holders and the table's center piece for support. All in all Aryana had a good birthday. Chester took her to see "Tangled" and we gave her five dollars.

St. George

Chester had a interview in St. George this last week and so we tagged along. Aryana was able to watch a movie on the laptop on the way down and Kinsley liked playing with stickers by putting them on her arm. I loved waking up at the hotel to the girls snuggled close together. So sweet. And cross your fingers for Chester!

Halloween 2010

Halloween seemed to be a longer celebration this year since it landed on a Sunday. We attended two chili and soup pot luck dinners. So that meant that the girls got dressed up twice. One dinner Aryana and Kinsley wore matching shirts with butterfly wings. Then for the other dinner I painted little cat faces on them. I am glad that they are easy to please. This year at our wards trunk or treat we handed out glow in dark bracelets. They were $1.00 for 15 bracelets. They were a big hit. My brother in law dressed up as Jack Sparrow. He looked awesome.

Idaho Visit

My grandmother, Barbra, lives in Idaho and I took the girls up there. We helped her with picking apples off her trees and plums and some raspberries. We even got to end the day with a pony ride around town. It was a beautiful day.

Adrielle's birthrday cake

It was my sister's birthday in October and my mom let me make the cake for Adrielle. I used skittles and homemade cotton candy for the clouds. I was happy with the way it turned out.

Our First Family Reunion 2010

Our first week back in Utah we had our Bailey reunion in Idaho falls. My sister in law planned it and she did such an excellent job with the changes that happened in a short amount of time. We stayed in a hotel that was right across from the Idaho Falls temple. It was a beautiful location. I can't wait until next years.

A Day Out to Salt Lake City

I woke up this morning and felt like going up to Salt Lake City with my girls and so we did. About three fourths of the way there Aryana said " Hey we should go see Grandma Betty." Of course we had to stop. Betty is their Great Grandma. Then we lunch at the The Church of Jesus Christ Conference Center and met a lady visiting from England. Then we walked around the visitors center. Road the UTA trax and lastly went to the Gateway mall to play in the water fountain. We had a good old fashioned fun kind of day.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Extravaganza

So we had this fun little party with some friends before we moved. We just made pb&js with all sorts of candies and cookies. We did use the honey roasted peanut butter that I am crazy about.

A Finished Basement

We have been living with my in laws for almost a month now. Our little family has been sleeping in one room. It has been a tight fit but we have been able to manage. I am getting excited about the basement to be finished because then Chester and I will have our own room. I am not planning on being here for that long but with having two kids in our room I feel like having our own room is a pretty big deal. Hahaha. I am hoping two weeks we move in the new room.

Kinsley's Leg

I just realised how bad of a blogger I am. I never put how Kinsley's legs recovered from having casts.

So a quick over view. Kinsley had a cast put on her left leg , for a month, to help with a curve of her left foot called metatarsus addtuctsus. Then after that was removed she wore a little boot to help correct that. The Doctor now says that Kinsley will just grow out of this condition. So her left foot will slip out of sandals occasionally because of the curve.

Then when Kinsley was 11 months old she feel down six steps of stairs and had a buckled fracture in her right leg. She wore another cast for another month. She had the cast removed two days after her first birthday. Then she started walking a week later. She has got some strong legs.

So I hope now that everyone knows that she is okay and is not wearing casts still. :)

Kinsley's First Potty

Chester's family had a family reunoin in Idaho. While we where there Kinsley went pee pee on the toilet for the first time. I was so proud that my almost eighteen month old baby went potty. Now the challenge of potty training at home starts.

Moving away from Texas has been really hard for me. I loved living there. I truly hope that one day, soon, our family can move back. I don't mind the humidity or the flat land. I love the people there. Also I miss our family ward. Texas has taught me how to be proud of where I am from. God bless Texas.

Auntie Kaytlynn Visits

My sister came to visit this June. She is the nicest person you will meet. She probably saw our family at our worst and best while she was here. I know she didn't judge us for how crazy we did get at times. That is one of the many reasons why she is the nicest person you will meet. The picture with the pillow case and my sister, she hand stitched the words on there and gave it to the girls. Kaytylnn did a fantastic job for her first time stitching.

My friend, Angela, and I went on a hour drive to purchase raw milk. It is worth the drive, but don't worry we are now part of a route so we drive twenty minutes to get our raw milk.

My friend, Amber, called me and invited the girls and I out to a little state park, Mckinney Falls. We had a blast. We went walking under a rock, saw the oldest tree in the park and saw and heard a wood pecker while we were eating lunch. Oh, yeah, we also saw water falls.

I was busy doing mom stuff and I needed to go check on the girls. When I went to the play room Aryana was using the her water color set on Kinsley not paper. Kinsley didn't seemed bothered by it. Then later Aryana showed me an awesome building that she put together herself. I was just impressed that my kid, my 4 year old, put four little squares together to make a larger square and have the building stay put. I love my Aryana and my Kinsley.

Ward Christmas Party 2009

Our ward Christmas party was so fun. They put on a Talent show. My friends and I did a dance number. We called ourselves the "Hot Mamas". We did so well. We practiced a lot. I hope we do another talent show next year.

This was Kinsley's first time seeing Santa Claus. She was not scared. She looked actually

interested in him.

Paper dolls

I have been trying to be more crafty. So we made paper dolls out of some card board, yarn, christmas paper and markers and stickers. It was really fun. Aryana drew boobies on hers. She said wanted her doll to have big boobs like mine. So she took the marker and made two dots. No circles or anything else just dots. I said to her "That's about right." Then she drew and belly button. I love having my girls.

Cinnamon Rolls

I made cinnamon rolls recently and made the best frosting ever. The trick, I think, is to use actual cream and butter with the powder sugar. Give it a try and tell me what you think.
Recipe:
1 bag of powdered sugar
1 lb of butter
1/2 cup of cream
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
mix until nice a fluffy. Add more cream if necessary.

Fall Pumpkins

I love this time of year. The colors and smells. It is just starting to cool down. We found this Baptist church selling pumpkins to raise money for its' men choral group and bought some little pumpkins from them. I love taking pictures with the Aryana and Kinsley in the pumpkins. So cute. Aryana, by the way, was a rainbow butterfly and Kinsley was a pumpkin. I made Aryana's wings out of tulle. I think I did a pretty good job. Next year Iam going to invest in making something a little special for Aryana and Kinsley because our ward actually is really big in dressing up and I think I want to try to win an award next year. We will see what will happen.

Family outing to the San Antonio Temple

We took the chance to help plant flowers at the temple on an early Saturday morning. When we walked up close to the temple Aryana noticed the ladder on the top of one of roofs. Because the ladder is very similar to a pool ladder Aryana asked if there was a pool up there. We worked in one little area with some other friends.

So my Sister Adrielle was with us again for the 4th of July. We tried to have our friends the Lopezs over too, just like last year, but Mary had to help her sister pack for moving to Colorado. So Chris Lopez, Andi and Heidi came over. We missed you Mary, we will try for next yea. Here are some pictures that we took for our County's birthday.

We did face painting and it got a little out of control.

Last year Adrielle made a whole wheat angel food cake with berries and whipped cream. This year we went crazy with store bought pound cake, strawberry jello, vanilla pudding and berries. It was pretty good. I wonder what we will make next year.

Touch up paint

So I just painted a wall in my room green. I washed off the paint the best I could and then put the roller brush in the garage. The next day I decided to touch up the rest of the house with our flat paint because my in-laws were coming. Aryana wanted to help. I am glad that she wanted to help then not want to help. She went to the garage and grabbed that wet roller and went around and started doing what I was doing. She is so cute. I love Aryana.

Kinsley wore the same dress that Aryana wore for her blessing. My mother-in-law bought it for me. It is so beautiful. My in-laws actually drove down from Utah just for the blessing. It was a short trip, but it was so good to see them. Our friends from Chester's work also came to the blessing. Warina and Edwardo are there names. Warina bought Kinsley a cup set that had Kinsley's intitails engraved on it. I love my little Kinsley.

Middle of the Night

So Aryana was scared the other night and wanted me to come sit with her in bed for a while. I told her for two minutes. Well, I layed my head down on her bed because it was 2am and then about two minutes later Aryana sat up in bed and told me that it was time for me to go back to my bed. Wow, I wish that could happen all time.

Mouse Guts Surprise

So there is a neighborhood cat that wonders around our house and the other day it was in our backyard. I noticed that it had caught a mouse and I thought to myself "how nice that he did that for us". Later on that day I went to my front door to go outside and found the guts of the mouse in a nice neat pile. Cats our so funny about showing off what they did for you. Yay, for the cat.

Austin's Capitol

Our fieldtrip group went to the Capitol in May. It was beautiful day. We walked around inside for 1o minutes and then the kids were ready for lunch. While were exploring the inside of the building we did manage to fit Maren's and Mary's double strollers , Amber and her two girls, myself with Kinsley in a carrier and Aryana in a elevator. Then two cleaning ladies some how fit themselves in the elvator with us too. Counting that up we had six adults, seven kids and two newborns in one elevator. Good thing the capitol was only a few stories tall.

Aryana told Chester and I that she is pregnant. At first Chester didn't understand what she was saying and asked me to translate what she was saying. Aryana was saying the word pregnant very clearly. But I finally told Chester what she was saying. Chester responded with a big smile. Aryana seemed pretty happy about her up coming event. And no, Rachel is NOT pregnant.

Simmons's Farm

Aryana and I are part of a preschool fieldtrip group ,(That's a mouth full) and we went to a farm that had cows and chickens. It was a beautiful day. The sky was blue and the grass was green because it just rained. It made me think about buying a farm myself. It was a wonderful site to see the animals being able to roam.

Aryana and her friends had the chance to feed the chickens and collects eggs. We learned why some chickens lay brown eggs and some lay white. This is why. If the chicken's ears are brown then a brown egg and white ears, white eggs.

So we just came home from swimming with play group. Aryana quickly runs towards the bathroom . I can hear a door opening and thinking that she was going potty. It turns out to that she was hiding with a bag of white sugar and was about to eat somemore with a large spoon in the playroom! I was wondering why she was not acting like her normal self.

Here is a list of things we enjoyed at South Padre.

We loved our view of the beach from the condo.
Aryana like the ocean because it tasted salty and it had peppr in it.
We enjoyed playing in the pool.
We did like having TV with cable.
The fact that we missed spring break and bikers week. We were told during spring break it can take up to four hours to cross the bridge.
We liked trying Narures Brew Vanilla Creme Soda. It is Rachel's new favorite!

Chasing the seagull with Aryana was fun!
Going to Cladys Porter Zoo was fun because we had the chance to see baby animals

This was my last visit with my Midwife, Kristen Elliott, she is in the blue. Ally is in the brown, she is Kristen apprentice. Kinsley was six weeks and two days old. It was such a wonderful experience to have a second baby at our home. I would recommend it to any Mom and Dad that are expecting.

When my mom came to visit we went to the Alamo and the river walk. It was prefect weather, sunny with a slight breeze. And it wasn't that crowded too. My mom and I were excited about going there because of the movie Cloak and Dagger, parts of the film were recorded here. We watched that movie all the time when I was younger. I totally recommend watching the film.

On Thursday I finally told Chester that I needed to get out of house. So we just went for a drive around town. I sat in the back with Aryana and Kinsley. It was a tight fit but I manged it. It was a beautiful day and a nice drive with the windows down.

( Yes in the early 80's.) I bought a red cabbage and the outsides leaves were so pretty and perfrect for hat wearing. I love how the picture turned out, even with Kinsley crying a little.

Aryana and I went shopping for some of the last few things we needed before baby Kinsley comes. When we came home she wanted Daddy to help her set up the toy storage. At first Daddy said" no, we'll put it together tomorrow." Then she asked again and because she is so cute Daddy said yes. Aryana was so happy she shouted a couple times, " Thank you, thank you Daddy!" She was a great helper for Dad and didn't get to bed until eleven o'clock.

Thunder, Lighting, Hail, Oh My!

We have been needing rain for a long time. We had a nice thunder storm last night with hail. I wish it lasted longer but it is a start. I hope we get some more rain soon.

Green Mud bath

Last Sunday Aryana said that she needed to go potty. I was making dinner and forgot how long she had been in there. Well come to find out she had been done going potty for a while. This is what Chester found. Don't worry it is not poop of any kind. It is crayola green apple mud bubbles. Aryana was just having a good old time finger painting in the tub. I am so glad that it is washable.

I wanted to compare this pregnant belly to when I was pregnant with Aryana. Anyways, I know I look silly but like my friend Sally Windham reminds me all the time ," You are only pregnant so many times then it's gone." So I just had to post these pictures. Thanks everyone for all kindness you showed to me and my family during this whole pregnancy. I really feel loved.

Unicycle 101

Chester is so proud that he can ride his unicycle. He wanted everyone see him in action. His parents brought it over to our house when they were traveling home from Mexico city last spring. My father-in-law owns a bike shop in Utah called Skippers. Thanks Chet and Chris for those fun toys.
